Emil Sultanov’s story starts in Eastern Europe, where he grew up in a hardworking family. That hard work stuck with him and helped shape everything he’d do later in life.
In 1991, Emil moved to the United States, hoping to build a better life. He settled in San Diego and got to work learning the business etiquette of his new hometown. Using what he knew about customer service, he saw a gap in the market: long-term car rentals. He knew both locals and businesses needed flexible, affordable options for longer rentals, something not many companies offered.
In 2004, Emil took a big step and started his own company, LONGTERMCAR, focused only on long-term rentals. He started small, with just a few cars and a small office, but he worked hard to build a company people could trust. As the company grew, his family joined in too, helping with everything from customer service to managing the cars and marketing.
LONGTERMCAR quickly became known for being honest, fair on price, and willing to work with each customer’s needs. Because it stayed family-run and local, the company built a close team and strong bonds with the San Diego community. Emil’s focus on good service and lasting relationships helped the business grow year after year.
Emil is also known for giving back. He supports local charities, sponsors community events, and helps with projects that make life better for people in San Diego. He believes strongly in helping others, not just running a business.

will be provided along with a complete check-out sheet with all prior damage,
fuel level and condition noted. We provide this as a courtesy, and we always
encourage our renters to take photos themselves prior to driving off our lot.
We maintain all vehicles to the highest standards and document all cosmetic
flaws. We also work with local third-party providers to ensure our renters have
access to fast and reliable maintenance services, when needed. As a small family
