Long Term Car simplifies under 25 and under 21 car rental procedure. We allow rentals for anyone 18+. That’s right, the only long term rental car service in San Diego that allows anyone over the age of 18 years old hire quality automobiles.

If you already are studying in one of our many college or university campuses, we have a student discount just for you to make your experience even more cost effective. Your discount is going to be applied during the booking process. Once you come in to pick up your car, simply flash your student ID and you’re all set.
What is the age requirement to rent a car?
To rent a car in San Diego you are required to be:
a. Be aged 18 or over
b. Have a valid driver’s license
c. Be fully self-insured (no insurance, credit card or deposit is required this way)
d. If you don’t have insurance, you can purchase it, for this you must have a major credit card. Still no deposit this way.
c. Say you don’t have insurance or a credit card, you are welcome to rent with a cash deposit of $500 in addition to your rental charge.
Renters under 21 do pay a $90 monthly Underage Driver Fee that is automatically added. This fee is only $3 per day on a 28 day rental. This is the lowest underage fee in the entire rental industry word-wide
